Thankful

For What?

For the hand you hold or the hand that holds you?

For the person you may or may not know?

For the freedom we have because of the many that sacrificed their lives,

for they that dispute about...

or they that maintain that...

How about being thankful for the book you’ve just finished reading.

Sometimes, the simplest things in life make you happiest even if it’s for that one moment.

Like,

The stars held in the night sky.

And the lone room that holds your silent cries and the loud words…

Or the tropical scenery that captured your memories

The one road you’ve traveled that brought on the forgiven past that no longer incriminates your present.

For that one and final step that brought you to the Cross of Christ.
